Idiopathic constipation: too few stools and too little knowledge

Article Abstract:

Chronic idiopathic constipation is defined as low stool frequency with no specific abnormalities found in patients. It is characterized by a strain in expelling the stool, feeling of incomplete evacuation and abdominal pains. Chronic idiopathic constipation may involve a normal or prolonged colonic transit time. Several drugs are being studied for the regulation of colonic motility. These include the CCK-like peptides, the 5-HT receptors and the opioid receptors.

Mayday! midair collision

Article Abstract:

Two F/A-18 Hornet fighter airplanes figured in a midair collision, breaking the nose cone of one of the fighters and part of the wing and tail of the other. Pilots of both aircraft were able to expertly land their damaged aircraft without further damage or loss of life.
