A stakeholder approach to ethical human resource management

Article Abstract:

An ethical debate in human resource management (HRM) is presented by addressing research and practitioner concerns and a broader conception of HRM that combines an 'outward' focus in strategic planning with an 'inward' one on people. It concludes by affirming the philosophy, process and outcomes of systems of employee governance constituting a key interface between management and employees and that 'progressive' or 'ethical' HRM has the provisions of mechanisms to enhance employee perceptions.
