Code types: functions and failings and organizational diversity

Article Abstract:

Codes of ethics and conduct serving vital functions of internal bonding and external relations have denied themselves an ethical raisons d'etre. Though the codes of conduct are specific to specific types of organization, they encode certain common fundamental values of the society. Codes of ethics and conduct are abridgements of real or imagined practice. The code creation process of abstracting principles determines the success of the code in any organization. The features of an ideal type of organization and its codes of ethics and conduct are discussed.
