Paul Miller has spent most of his professional career attempting to construct a naturalistic axiology by uniting expanded naturalism and humanism. However, connecting all humans to their primitive nature, as Miller proposes, would abandon the connections between feeling and the metaphysical.

Value as richness: Peter Miller's challenge
Article Abstract:
Peter Miller has argued that values exist independently of human beings in animals and the environment. It is possible to use Miller's concept of "value as richness" to generate reasonable accounts for individual obligations.
