Teaching moral responsibility within organizations: Are we doing what we should?

Article Abstract:

The call for papers presented at the International Conference on Ethics across the Curriculum suggests that 'ethics education' does not effectively address the moral responsibility and accountability of individuals within organizations but fails absolutely to do something that should be done, namely effectively addressing certain subjects. It is concluded that the question posed by the call to the 2004 Ethics across the Curriculum Conference might have a cultural explanation.

Government ethics in Ukraine: a philosopher's report

Article Abstract:

The World Bank has concluded that Ukraine cannot develop a healthy national economy unless it reduces governmental corruption and for this it has decided to help the Ukrainian government enabling to understand the West's technique for controlling corruption. The reason for which Ukraine government is not adopting the code of governmental ethics is explained.

Who are the stakeholders? The failure of the stakeholder-as-contractor view

Article Abstract:

The author argues against the stakeholder theory as a legitimate method of ensuring ethical corporate management. Reasons include the uncertainty of stakeholder status among the various individuals in a company, and the assigning and maintaining of that status.
