Traversing the "Inferno:" a new direction for business ethics

Article Abstract:

Issues are discussed regarding the depiction of fraud and its psychic effects as portrayed by Dante in the "Inferno". Dante encounters the shades on his journey through hell, people who have made themselves less than human by their actions. The types of evil Dante depicts, including flattering, pandering, barratry, and hypocrisy, are actually commonplace frauds omnipresent in business life.Such frauds may pose a greater danger than blatant wrongdoing.
