A U.S.-Japan comprehensive economic partnership agreement: cementing a geostrategic economic relationship

Article Abstract:

A U.S.-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is suggested as a solution to economic and geostrategic issues. The aim of the U.S.-Japan CEPA is to integrate the two economic systems and facilitate the spread of ideas and business perceptions between U.S. and Japan.

The trade liberalization has led to a stiffening competition for the products that were once sold with ease in Artiguenos, a small district in southeast Paraguay. The response of rural farmers to the effects of globalizing trade is depicted with the help of several photographs.
