A neo-communitarian approach to international relations: Rights and the good

Article Abstract:

The criticisms leveled against communitarianism are examined and the neo-communitarian approach, which has overcome these criticisms, is discussed. Neo-communitarian thinking systematically divides the areas of social and human action into those in which universal principles should apply and those in which the particularistic conceptions of the good ought to prevail, without either ever taking precedence as a matter of principle.
