A peaceful transfer of power or not?

Article Abstract:

Deposed Haitian Pres Jean Bertrand-Aristide and African National Congress (ANC) president Nelson Mandela met at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC, for a fund-raising project the day before Bill Clinton took his oath as president. Mandela was to use the funds for the upcoming elections in South Africa. He was able to solicit $250,000 from benevolent Afro-American donors. Bertrand-Aristide, for his part, was able to convince his Haitian supporters to donate $30,000 to ANC.

Disturbing the peace: justice - a little dab will not do!

Article Abstract:

The nation's racial problems are not over for Americans Africans, following the split decision in the trial of the beaters of Rodney King. Until the criminal justice system delivers unbiased treatment to Black people all across this nation, even the bit of justice in Los Angeles, CA is meaningless. The task at hand for African American people is to regain the health of the cities. Viable economic and social control means control of the police also in the urban areas.

Could President Clinton be just another jailkeeper?

Article Abstract:

US Pres Bill Clinton is sharply criticized for reneging on a campaign promise to provide sanctuary to Haitians fleeing from the military junta in that Caribbean nation. Clinton, under the guise of ensuring the safety of Haitian refugees, has adopted former Pres Bush's tactic of sending US Coast Guard ships to intercept Haiti's black refugees before theycan reach US waters. Thus, Clinton has now become Haiti's jailer.
