Czech Greens in the 2002 general election: a new lease of life?

Article Abstract:

The rise and fall of the Czech Greens Party, established for environmental purposes, is presented. Although, the 1990s saw a decline in the Czech Greens, the 2002 parliamentary elections was a turning point, as they resembled the west European green parties in terms of membership and electorate.

The Czech environmental movement's knowledge interests in the 1990s: Compatibility of western influences with pre-1989 perspectives

Article Abstract:

The basis of interviews with key movement intellectuals that neglects the earlier history of the 1989 revolution is discussed. The end was a movement based principally on the assumptions of liberal environmentalism with limited development of more politically radical analyses and arguments.

Contours of the Chez environmental movement: a comparative analysis of Hnuti Duha(Rainbow Movement) and Jihoceske matky(South Bohemian Mothers)

The two movements, though different in approach and membership, campaign against the Temelin nuclear power plant. The factors that shape organizational logic and strategic choices are identified through a comparative study of the two different Chez Environmental movement organizations.
