Evaluation as action research: the case of the Management Development Institute in Gambia, West Africa

Article Abstract:

The Management Development Institute in Gambia, West Africa was reviewed by a team sent to form an action research intervention program. The evaluation team discovered five legitimate mutually exclusive frameworks within the institution. Upon this discovery, an action team was formed to troubleshoot problem areas. The action team was empowered and a team was formed. A future role and structure in which to work was formed for the action team. Overall, the action team research is a viable means for troubleshooting.

Argentina's worker-occupied factories and enterprises

Article Abstract:

Argentina experienced a number of new developments in labor relations and there was a growing worker cooperative movement and had occupied factories and other enterprises that were abandoned by their owners or were in various stages of bankruptcy proceedings. The movement of worker led factories and enterprises represented a very important departure from the norm of traditional Argentine labor relations.
