Faction fighting

Article Abstract:

The eruption of violence between Hamas and Fateh supporters in early October 2006 has dramatically illustrated the growing tension between the two parties and is serving as another milestone in the deterioration of life in the occupied Palestinian territory. Both sides have showed interest to help national unity in principle, but in practice they are more concerned with gaining electoral, economic, political and military superiority over the other party.

Breaking the mirror

Article Abstract:

The Oslo Peace Process and Wye agreement is described as a complete failure because it does not secure peaceful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians. With the advent of a new government in Israel, the future politics of the area must either provide a process that solves, rather than evades the problems of Palestine and Israel or, accept that the solution of two states for two people is impossible.
