Globalization: a new political and economic space requiring supranational governance

Article Abstract:

Globalization impacts both financial markets and mass life-styles, since it affects production and consumption of products, the developments in technology and the dissemination of information. It has developed conditions for a universal, single market, in some ways appearing like the regional, European one. Globalization uncover the existing mechanisms of government to two kinds of pressure, namely internal and external.

Regional adaptive synergies in the world trading system

Article Abstract:

An alternative framework to account for both the trade and non-trade spillovers of regional trade agreements (RTAs) is described. The welfare benefits of developing country RTAs have appeared to lie more in the realm of dynamic and adaptive efficiencies than in the static and allocative one of Viner.
