Guest editor's introduction: the development of the Labor Law of the People's Republic of China, a comparison of three versions

Article Abstract:

A comparison of three versions of China's Labor Law promulgated in 1994 reflects important labor policy and labor legislation changes in post-Mao China. The July 7, 1983 draft, the April 5, 1991 draft and the July 5, 1994 final version are compared to provide understanding of China's labor legislation and economic reform.
