IAEA begins destruction of Iraqi nuclear facilities

Article Abstract:

The InternationalAtomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has begun destroying Iraqi nuclear facilities in order to take away Iraq's ability to produce nuclear weapons. Although this development was viewed as a major step towards this end, IAEA inspectors noted that Iraqi cooperation was grudging at best and that there were still efforts by some to conceal information about the country's nuclear weapons program.
