Ideas have consequences

Article Abstract:

All feminist legal theory, even the most abstract, needs to be taken seriously because what starts as abstract ideas have tangible consequences. For this reason, the many schools of thought within feminist jurisprudence, even those that appear to be pure exercise in academe and those that claim the rule of law as a concept should be rejected, need to be taken seriously. They are bound to affect society, as previous concepts of feminism have.

Technology assessment and the sociopolitics of health technologies

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss the growing field of Health Technology Assessment and its place in medical policy making. They argue that sociopolitical dimensions of health care technologies should be integrated into HTAs for them to fully address public policy issues.
