Industrial contraction: faces the paradoxes of the post-cold war

Article Abstract:

An evaluation of the effects of industrial contraction in the US as a result of the end of the Cold War. Defense-based US industry needs to restructure itself to meet the needs of the civilian sector. Military effectiveness and technological influences are determinants for proposed defense industry restructuring. However, the present technological advances have not provided a sufficient basis for the segregation of military and civilian industries.

US military transformation and weapons in space

Article Abstract:

The United States, more than any other nation, relies on space for its military and economic security. The United States should promptly attempt to establish military supremacy in space, as it has already done at sea and in the air, for the purpose of stabilizing peace and extending into the foreseeable future its ongoing period of liberal hegemony.
