Like him or not, we all have to accept Thomas

Article Abstract:

Supreme Court judge Clarence Thomas, infamous for his right-wing policies, has survived a sexual harassment lawsuit due to various factors including the lackadaisical approach by the Senate Judiciary Committee in investigating the charges, the inability of witnesses to testify, and political influence. Thomas has a dubious sexual harassment record with three previous employees but has escaped punishment and still holds office in the Supreme Court despite of having trespassed the norms of this prestigious institution.

Scrapping programs won't fix social problems

Article Abstract:

Lawmakers and politicians should work to modify social welfare schemes that do not yield results, instead of abolishing them. Politicians try to eliminate welfare programs and affirmative actions on the basis that they are being misused, or that blacks and other minorities do not need such programs, as their standards of living have improved.
