Lula's Brazil at midterm

Article Abstract:

Supporters see the election of Workers' Party leader Luiz Inacio 'Lula' da Silva to the Brazilian presidency in October 2002 as the beginning of a new era. Lula's government is assessed at midterm and it is observed that the Lula's government is system-derailing in the fist two years of his presidency.
