Mercenaries, misfits or misunderstood?

Article Abstract:

Questions are raised on whether the inefficient U.S. private security companies in Iraq are mercenaries, misfits or just misunderstood. The companies that indulge in unnecessary violence, unsuitable to their primary purpose of rebuilding the country, need to be regulated and held accountable for their actions.

The actions of the United States in declaring war on Iraq may change international rule of law in warfare forever. The author examines how the United States changed the rules of war in its War on Terrorism and in the 2003 Iraq War.
