Mixed fortunes: The Greens in the 2004 European Parliament election

Article Abstract:

The Greens who entered the 2004 European parliamentary election campaign in a very upbeat mood, proud of their decision to form the first pan-European political party, and determined to fight the campaign in each country on a common manifesto are discussed. The Greens appear to be established parties in the 'old' Europe but the long-hoped for breakthrough still eludes them.

The Greens in the 1999 European parliamentary elections

Article Abstract:

Post-mortems on the June 1999 elections to the European Parliament focused mainly on the overall swing to the centre-right, overlooking the success of the Greens in increasing their delegation. The performance of the Greens is examined in the political context of each country where domestic considerations played an important role.

Ecological citizenship and ethical investment

Article Abstract:

The concept of ecological citizenship, which makes sense when applied to the increasingly popular practice of ethical investment, is examined. It is stated that individual ethical investors are engaged in an activity that displays all the characteristics of ecological citizenship.
