Muslims in U.S. politics: recognized and integrated, or seduced and abandoned?

Article Abstract:

This article examines the influence Muslims in the United States have in shaping political policy. The author, maintaining American Muslims have been a marginalized population in the democratic political system, argues they need more than a voting bloc to have any significant impact, such as gaining more knowledge of American politics, resisting the negative portrayals of the Arab world, and learning how to gain access to the political system.

The politics of water in South Asia: The case of the Indus Waters Treaty

Article Abstract:

The dispute over the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) between India and Pakistan needs the involvement of a third unbiased party that can act as an efficient mediator in solving the conflict, for which the United States fits the role. The significance of the role of the US policy in solving the dispute over IWT is described and the benefits of the intervention policy in fulfilling larger and broader US policy goals are presented.

Big oil and big talk: Resource populism in international politics

Article Abstract:

The politicians around the world are attacking oil companies which show that resource populism is a dominant feature in energy market. This battle is causing tension, ultimately resulting into reduced investment in future energy projects.
