Mysticism and peace: an East-West perspective

Article Abstract:

The medieval German philosopher Meister Eckhart and the Hindu philosopher Adi Shankara came to similar conclusions when considering the mysteries of life and death. Both felt these states should not be considered a dichotomy, and that answers to this problem appear once the mind passes beyond the transactional realm.

Ecological design: peace with the environment

Article Abstract:

Traditionally-designed modern buildings have created many environmental problems, so new dwellings must make as little impact on the environment as possible. "Off the grid" living incorporates the Gaia hypothesis, influencing Michael Reynolds' "Earthship" that relies on renewable resources.
