NAACP opens office to aid Andrew's victims

Article Abstract:

NAACP Exec Dir Benjamin L. Hooks visited Florida City, FL, on Sep 2, 1992 to inspect the damage brought by the killer storm Hurricane Andrew and inform the residents of the opening of a relief office in Miami, FLF. The organization has already taken an active participation in the distribution of goods to the victims of the hurricane. Some of the donations in the Disaster Operation Center in a town in Perrine came from Women in the NAACP. With the opening of a relief center in the area, the victims can be assured that there will be people who will help them in rebuilding their lives.
