New political movements and governance in Latin America

Article Abstract:

The problems faced by traditional governance system of Latin America because of neoliberal economic policy recommended by International Monetary Fund and globalization is discussed. The problems like peasant movements in Bolivia, Landless movement in Brazil and popular assemblies in Argentina are studied.

Planning, budgeting, and health care performance in Ukraine

Article Abstract:

The urgent need for reforming the health care system of Ukraine is examined. The program planning and central financing that are suggested reduces overcentralization of decision making and increases local accountability and responsibility for health care performance.

Globalization, governance, and administrative culture

Article Abstract:

The negative impact of globalization on sovereignty of poor countries resulting in violence and hunger in spite of new administrative, cultural and political initiatives is discussed. The countries of Middle East and South Asia are reviewed to study the impact.
