No one is illegal: Organizing beyond Left Nationalism in fortress North America

Article Abstract:

Major part of restructuring strategies of national states across the Global North was reorganizing the migration policies that legally deny majority of migrants the status of permanent resident or citizen, by which citizenship and immigration policies can play an important role in the shaping of more intensified competition within global markets. Through the national classification schemes, the state is able to determine who is a citizen, a permanent resident, a temporary migrant worker or an illegal immigrant.

The drinking gourd: Vision as strategy

Article Abstract:

The people escaping the enslaved South were instructed to follow the Drinking Gourd, the constellation in the northern sky which points to the North Star and Canada, which is out of the reach of the US slave system. Strategy connects the conditions of daily struggle to the vision of the reason behind the fight just by remembering Drinking Gourd, while with a visionary reference point to reset the eyes on the prize, it is important to be bold, unapologetic, and struggle for freedom.

A period for pedagogy

Article Abstract:

The US government launched a campaign for the complete redesign of planet earth's geopolitical architecture, after the collapse of the twin towers. The predictability of international relations from the imperial point of view had diminished profoundly, though the monetary and military basis for the US power remained intact, and this was the period when they needed the left more than ever, as they were weaker in many aspects.
