Political strategies for hi-tech development: the case of a university-related research park

Article Abstract:

The planned research park at the University of Connecticut was used as an example of what considerations should be focused on for high technology development. University-research parks were agreed to require solid financial support and adequate development time. The design and methodology of such parksshould also be suitable for their purpose. Bureaucratic delays caused by the political aspects of development are also important factors. Finally, good market expectations should be confirmed before such facilities are constructed.

Article Abstract:

A leadership agenda model is applied on the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle. The model aims to manage life cycle changes and thus effectively assure organizational survival by being able to cope with the changes as they emerge and reemerge and are satisfied. Results indicate that the leadership agenda is a continuous process that minimizes chance in the development of an organization.
