Security officials in the US have suggested China and Russia will remain the major threat to the US. They pointed out weapons of mass destruction are likely to increase as other nations try to challenge the military superiority of the US.

Clinton signs 'Iran Nonproliferation Act.'

Article Abstract:

The Iran Nonproliferation Act of 2000 authorizes Pres Clinton to take action against individuals and groups aiding weapons of mass destruction programs in Iran. It also cuts funding of the US-Russia space program unless Russia ends aid to Iran weapons programs.
