Reevaluating methods of establishing priorities for governmental services

Article Abstract:

Resource limitations are said to be prompting local governments to reexamine their approaches to establishing priorities in funding selection for governmental services, such as budgeting. Careful financial management significantly needs decision-making procedures that focus on collaborative community involvement. Local governments can adopt the proper frameworks based on incrementalism, conceptualization and performance, for programmatic selection decisions and budget allocations.

Administrative creativity in local government

Article Abstract:

Administrative creativity is defined as a group process through which ideas are generated and accepted by organizations. The necessary activities defining the processes of administrative creativity include the generation and contribution of knowledge, and the activities consensus building and defining divergence. Administrative creativity has been found to be markedly associated with the use of productivity improvement management.

Productivity enhancement efforts in public and nonprofit organizations

Article Abstract:

Educational institutions and nonprofit organizations can profit from adopting a number of productivity enhancement methods which can optimize the use of their limited resources. Such organizations must not limit themselves to strategic planning for productivity improvement but can use a host of innovations such as reengineering, total quality management, partnerships and performance measurements to improve upon their productivity.
