Wassenaar members resolve most differences during July plenary

Article Abstract:

Signatories to the Wassenaar Agreement have reconciled their differences following Russia's acceptance of notification guidelines for export licenses. The new export control regime has set the stage for the first exchange of data on weapons and dual-use technologies export. The four group-wide data exchanges will be based on the regime's munition list and will cover issues of deliveries and license denials to non-member states. However, states, such as Italy, Russia, and France are opposed to the inclusion of certain categories of weapons and technologies in the group's munition list.
