Regulating network industries: a look at Intel

Article Abstract:

The author evaluates the regulation of network industries, such as the telecommunication industry, and uses as a point of reference the FTC's action against Intel Corp. He concludes that the FTC inadequately evaluated the licensing practices in the case, including their benefits, and the settlement based upon that evaluation may result in economic inefficiencies.
