Russia's national security concept

Article Abstract:

Several countries are making increased efforts to weaken Russia economically, politically and militarily, according to the national security concept signed by acting Russian President Vladimir Putin on Jan 10, 2000. International security will be undermined through the failure to take account of Russia's interests when tackling key issues of international relations. The main tasks for guaranteeing Russia's national security include removing internal and external threats, ensuring citizens' personal security and constitutional rights and freedoms and ensuring full compliance with Russian Federation legislation.
