The Austrian Greens

Article Abstract:

The marginal success for Austrian green parties in the October, 1994 elections has to be seen in the light of its bad performance in the 1993 elections. The 1994 elections showed the likelihood of the Green Alternative as the only green party in the real sense, and ending the conflict between the 'radical' and 'bourgeois' greens. The election also reveals that the greens are not in awe of a new party- the Liberal Forum, which also banks on the same support base.
