The Green Party of Canada in political space and the new middle class thesis

Article Abstract:

A pioneering study of the members of the Green Party of Canada is undertaken. The academic survey of the members of the Canadian Green party shows that the members are staunch supporters of ecologism and environmentalism and in contrast to green parties elsewhere, the Green Party of Canada is located at the centre of the political spectrum.

Leftovers as party-poopers: The performance of the German Greens in the federal election of September 2005 and the rise of the Left Party

Article Abstract:

A summary, strategy, results and analysis of the federal election from the point of view of the Green Party is presented. The Greens suffered due to their participation in the government, which was blamed for major cuts in welfare benefits, especially in relation to labor market reforms.

'Obstruction galore': A case study of non-violent resistance against nuclear waste disposal in Germany

Article Abstract:

A theoretical framework derived from political process theory is employed in order to analyze the X-tausendmal quer (obstruction galore) campaign. The success and failure of the campaign are evaluated and explain in light of the theory.
