The New Party

Article Abstract:

The New Party was organized to widen the range of political debates by acting as a venue for both participants and issues. Its economic manifesto, written by Juliet Schor, presents its goals, namely, environmental sustainability, a restructuring of the economy into that which is more democratic, equal treatment regardless of race, gender, culture and beliefs, and the redefinition of efficiency. The manifesto also proposes that the Federal Reserve System be subject to Congressional and citizen control.
