A reply Larry Lockridge, PhD, Least Likely Suicide: The Search for My Father, Ross Lockridge, Jr., author of Raintree Country

Article Abstract:

Suicide is caused by a number of converging factors, although one overwhelming factor often triggers the final act that snuffs out the victim's life. This same idea was explained by Larry Lockridge in his address to the 28th annual convention of the American Association of Suicidologists. With this in mind, it is suggested that comprehensive hotlines have the potential to be effectively used as determinants in giving suicide prevention services to communities.

The possibility of no suicide

Article Abstract:

The possibility of a world without suicide may seem farfetched, but exploring such a vision is important for those involved in the study and prevention of suicide. The American Association of Suicidology should make it part of its mission to strive towards the creation of a world without suicide. Suicide can be prevented by closely examining its history and studying its psychology.
