A test of the continuity perspective across bulimic and binge eating pathology

Article Abstract:

This article explores the continuity/discontinuiy perspective of 5 eating disorders. The authors, categorizing obese nonbingers, subthreshold binge eating disorder, binge eating disorder, subthreshold bulimia, and bulimia, measured the continuity based upon core eating pathology and psychiatric symptoms, concluding eating pathology has a continuity perspective.

Maternal cognitions, psychopathologic symptoms, and infant temperament as predictors of early infant feeding problems: A longitudinal study

Article Abstract:

The contribution of prenatal and postnatal maternal core beliefs, self esteem, psychopathologic symptoms and postnatal infant temperament is examined to predict infant feeding difficulties. It is observed that maternal cognitions are involved in the development of maternal reports of feeding difficulty.

The development of eating pathology in Chinese-Australian women: acculturation versus culture clash

Article Abstract:

Research indicated that the Asian women residing in the west are more prone to eating rather than other women. There are similarities and differences between the risk factors that correlate with eating pathology between acculturated and traditional women.
