Are dietary restraint scales valid measures of acute dietary restriction? Unobstrusive observational data suggest not

Article Abstract:

Study undertaken to test whether dietary restraint scales are inversely correlated with unobtrusively measured calorie intake is presented. The findings suggest that these scales are not valid measures of short-term dietary restrictions and reinterpretation of the findings from the study is recommended.

Are dietary restraint scales valid measures of moderate- to long-term dietary restriction? objective biological and behavioral data suggest not
