Criminal diversity and paraphilic interests among adult males convicted of sexual offences against children

Article Abstract:

The official demographic and offense history data of criminal diversity and paraphilic interests among adult males convicted of sexual offences against children are analyzed. Marked individual differences in the self-reported age at first and most recent sexual contact with a child, the number of individual sexual and nonsexual offense convictions accrued to date, and extent of paraphilic interests were found.

Personality disorders and romantic adult attachment: A comparison of secure and insecure attached child molesters

Article Abstract:

An analysis is presented of personality disorders in a group of 33 securely and 51 insecurely attached child molesters. Research reveals that adult attachment styles and personality disorders share a common underlying structure and these findings have implications for the aetiology and treatment of child molesters.

Associations between trait anger and aggression used in the commission of sexual offenses

This article examines the relationship between aggression and anger in male sexual offenders. Topics include the expression of anger through aggressive behavior and differences in this expression in rapists and child sexual abusers.
