Sensitivity and specificity of the phallometric test for pedophilia in nonadmitting sex offenders

Article Abstract:

Research describing phallometric testing for pedophilia is presented. In particular the study assesses the effect of prior sexual contact with adult women as an indicator of the specificity of the tests.

Is more better? Combining actuarial risk scales to predict recidivism among adult sex offenders

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine whether combining the results of multiple actuarial risk scales increases accuracy in predicting sex offender recidivism. However, no combination method provided a statistically significant or consistent advantage over the predictive accuracy of the single best actuarial scale.
