Assessment of patients with anorexia nervosa: Interview versus self-report

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare the agreement between the Eating Disorders Examination (EDE) and the Eating Disorders Examination-Questionnaire (EDE-Q) in the diagnosis and assessment of eating disorder pathology in a sample of women with anorexia nervosa. Results indicate that agreement between the EDE and the EDE-Q on the individual items informing the overall diagnosis of anorexia nervosa ranges from low to moderate.

Neuropsychological studies in anorexia nervosa

Article Abstract:

Neuropsychological tests are used to assist with diagnosis, to obtain quantifiable data on the condition, and to develop treatment plans. Neuropsychological tests were developed originally to assess the effects of brain lesions or trauma, but increasingly are used to examine psychiatric populations for which neuropsychological impairments are likely to be much less severe.
