Autism and the immune system

Article Abstract:

A study on autism and the immune system was conducted to reveal interactions of the immune, nervous and endocrine systems. Neuroimmunological literature presents relevant aspects of immune functioning. Furthermore, immunological findings in autistic patients reflects viral and an autoimmune hypothesis. Differences in conceptual and methodological interpretation of data is, however, hampered by interpretation of data.

The construction and validation of a new scale for measuring emotional response style in adolescents

Article Abstract:

A study on the construction and validation of a new self-report instrument to measure the emotional response styles of adolescents is presented. An Emotional Behavior Scale (EBS) comprising of independent factors like aggression, social anxiety and social self-esteem anxiety were used to analyze emotional behavior and demonstrated satisfactory internal and re-test reliability.

A developmental analysis of self-reported fears in late childhood through mid-adolescence: Social-evaluative fears on the rise?

Article Abstract:

The findings that fears of physical dangers reduced with age and fears of social achievement increased in late adolescent children are presented. The expression of fears during adolescence is typical and may be a corollary of socio-cognitive maturity.
