Basing categorization on individuals and events

Article Abstract:

The basic unit of learning and representation in categorisation is constituted by events, according to prototype, exemplar and connectionist models. Research has revealed that humans use representations established by tracking individuals across events in categorisation. The process is consequently representational, resulting in the creation of an internal model of the world.
