Binge eating and satiety in bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder: Effects of macronutrient intake

Article Abstract:

A study tested the hypothesis that supplemental dietary proteins would reduce binge eating frequency and test meal intake in women with bulimia nervosa (BN). The studyEs findings demonstrate that adding protein to the diets of women with BN and binge eating disorder (BED) reduced food intake and binge eating over a two-week period.

Massive gastric dilatation after a single binge in an anorectic woman

Article Abstract:

A case of a young woman who developed severe gastric dilatation after a single binge is reported. It illustrates the serious sequel of even a single binge in any patient with abnormal dietary habits and demonstrates the useful role of the computed tomographic (CT) scan in the diagnosis.
