Breaking the intergenerational cycle of insecure attachment: a review of the effects of attachment-based interventions on maternal sensitivity and infant security

Article Abstract:

A research conducted on the intervention studies, its effectiveness, its dependence on duration and focus and its effectiveness on parental sensitivity and infant-parent attachment security, shows that the size of the intervention effect is small. The interventions are effective in enhancing maternal sensitivity of infant-mother relationships.
