Children's street connections in a Canadian community

Article Abstract:

Preteen children's activities in the streets of southern Ontario are investigated for understanding their behavior with adults after school. A significant aspect of Canada's law supports the findings that point to community-based potential for naturally occurring crime prevention strategies.

Community service orders in Hong Kong, England, and Wales: twins or cousins

The problems related to the cultural divide and professional rivalry between community service and probation staff in Hong Kong, England and Wales are discussed. The community Service Order (CSO) has more important role in choosing the community services.

Evaluating the effects of birth complications on low self-control in a sample of twins

Article Abstract:

The effects of birth complications and parental involvement on low self-control are examined. The findings reveal that parental involvements is only weakly and inconsistently related to low self-control.
