Dispositional optimism as predictor of men's decision-related distress after localized prostrate cancer
Article Abstract:
The relationship between decision-related distress, hope, threat assessment, seeking information and support, cognitive avoidance and physical treatment side effects in prostrate cancer patients is investigated. The results of the study are presented.

Social comparison and adjustment to breast cancer: an exerimental examination of upward affiliation and downward evaluation
Article Abstract:
Research has shown well-adjusted cancer patients have greater desire for information about their condition than those who are poorly adjusted. Tendencies toward downward comparisons in self-evaluation and the role of upward affiliation are discussed.
