Emotional distress in nonmetropolitan persons living with HIV disease enrolled in a telephone-delivered, coping improvement group interaction

Article Abstract:

The depressive symptoms and emotional distress in persons living with HIV disease in nonmetropolitan areas of 13 U.S. states is studied. 60% of the participants enrolled in a rationalized clinical trial of a telephone-delivered, coping improvement group interaction, reported moderate or severe levels of depressive symptomatology on the Beck Depression Inventory.

Biological and psychological factors associated with memory function in fibromyalgia syndrome

Article Abstract:

Fibromyalgia syndrome is a stress-related disorder that is characterized by chronic pain, memory impairment, and neuroendocrine aberrations. The relative influences of neuroendocrine function and psychological factors on the memory function are examined among 50 women with fibromyalgia syndrome.

Relationships between perceived stress and health behaviors in a sample of working adults

Article Abstract:

The relationships between perceived stress and fat intake, exercise, alcohol consumption, and smoking behaviors among working adults are examined. The linear regression analysis is used to examine the cross-sectional associations between stress level and health behaviors.
