Group support interventions for women with breast cancer: who benefits from what?

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that patients who lack emotional support from their partners benefit from peer-discussion groups while those who have support from their partners are harmed by peer discussion groups. Studies were based on 312 women with stage I or II breast cancer.

Improving quality of life in men with prostate cancer: a randomized controlled trial of group education interventions

Article Abstract:

The support interventions and group education are developed in order to reduce the adverse effects of the prostate cancer and enhance patients' quality of life. The results from a randomized controlled trial of group interventions are reported.
