Financial markets with asymmetric information: a pilot study focusing on insider advantages

Article Abstract:

A study examined how insiders exploit their advantage and if information is disclosed via market prices. Findings revealed that the initial endowment structure affects portfolio behavior while individual risk attitudes do not influence portfolio structures. Moreover, it was found that insiders could partly make use of their advantage in the area of final portfolio values. Lastly, insiders were able to infer information about the fundamental value by looking at the market price.
